Whitehouse Ridge, Año Nuevo State Reserve

0.0: Begin on Whitehouse Ridge Trail, across the road from the rough parking area.
0.7: Junction with path to lower viewpoint. Continue uphill to the left.
1.2: Junction with path to upper viewpoint. Turn right.
1.2: Viewpoint. Return to the previous junction.
1.3: Turn right, toward Chalks Road.
1.6: Whitehouse Ridge Trail ends at a junction with Chalks Road. Retrace your tracks back to the trailhead.
3.0: Back at the trailhead.

Getting there:
From Highway 1 in San Mateo County, turn east onto Whitehouse Road (about 6 miles south of Pescadero Road, and 0.1 mile south of Rossi Road), an unsigned dirt road (look for a white sign with a green triangle, and a sign for Skylark Ranch). Drive about 2.3 miles on the narrow dirt road to the broad pullout (left) and signed trailhead (right). A small sign on the road just past the trailhead reads "no further public access past this point".
