Mile:
0.0: Begin at the trailhead at the southwest corner of the parking lot. Walk about 90 feet on Año Nuevo Point Trail, then turn right at a T junction.
0.1: Junction with Pond Loop Trail. Stay to the right on Año Nuevo Point Trail.
0.7: Junction with other end of Pond Loop Trail. Continue straight on Año Nuevo Point Trail.
0.9: Wildlife Protection Area Trailhead. If you are visiting during permitted months and have a visitor permit, continue straight on Año Nuevo Point Trail.
1.4: Junction. Stay to the right, toward the North Point Seal Viewpoint.
1.5: Junction. Stay to the right, toward the North Point Seal Viewpoint.
1.6: Path to Bight Beach Viewpoint. Continue straight.
1.9: Path to viewpoint. Turn left. At the edge of the bluff, look right to North Point. Return to main trail, then turn left.
2.1: North Point Seal Viewpoint, and end of the trail. When ready, retrace your steps back to the junction with Año Nuevo Point Trail and Pond Loop Trail.
3.5: Turn right onto Pond Loop Trail.
3.7: Junction with trail to Cove Beach. Continue straight.
3.8: Junction. Bear left.
3.9: Junction, again, with Año Nuevo Point Trail. Bear right.
4.0: Junction with path leading left to the parking lot. Continue straight, toward the Visitor Center.
4.0: Visitor Center. Walk through building for exhibits and gift shop. Then turn left and return to the parking lot.
4.1: Back at the parking lot.

Getting there:
From CA 1 in San Mateo County, turn west into the park. The entrance is 12 miles south of Pescadero Road, 3 miles south of Rossi Road, and just north of the (signed) San Mateo/Santa Cruz County border.
