Praise for 1st edition:
"Huber offers more than a map and directions, she offers experiences, ones you shouldn't miss, all within 60 miles of home." Bay Nature

Acclaim for the website:
"For those of you who enjoy moving your feet along rough suburban byways, there is nothing better than www.bahiker.com, an obsessively complete guide for hikers that is almost exclusively the work of one woman, Jane Huber, to whom we should all be eternally grateful. An invaluable recreational resource." Jon Carroll, San Francisco Chronicle

There are pumpkins on the ground and much of the country is preparing for a long winter nap. But here in the Bay Area you don't have to wait for spring thaw; some destinations are at their best during the "off season." Jane Huber will share some of her favorite autumn and winter hikes, featuring colorful foliage, roaring waterfalls, and early wildflowers at Mount Diablo State Park, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
