0.0: Start from the parking lot. Cross Bair Island Road, turn right, and walk about 370 feet to the footbridge on the left. Turn left, pass through the gate, and cross the bridge.
0.1: At a junction near the information exhibits, turn left.
1.5: Observation deck at end of trail. Retrace your steps back to the information exhibit.
3.1: Back at the information exhibit. Now, continue to the left.
3.3: Observation deck at end of trail. Retrace your steps back to the information exhibit, then exit the preserve and retrace your steps to the parking lot.
3.6: Back at the parking lot.
Getting there:
From US 101 in San Mateo County, exit Whipple Road. Drive east on Whipple,
and where the road curves sharply right (just past the 101 northbound entrance/exit
ramps), continue to the right, now on East Bayshore Road. Follow East Bayshore Road south to a traffic rotary, and bear right onto Bair Island Road. Continue on Bair Island Road, then turn right onto Sea Anchor Drive. Park in the Bair Island spots.
