Mile:
0.0: Begin at the parking area on Columbus, and walk east on a dirt road with private property on both sides.
0.1: Junction. Turn right.
0.3: Junction. Turn left.
0.5: Junction: Turn left.
0.5: Boardwalk. Turn left.
0.5: View area and turnaround point. Walk back downhill to the first junction, with the path to the quarry floor.
1.1: Junction. Turn right.
1.2: Quarry floor and turnaround point. Retrace your steps back to the traihead.
1.5: Back at the parking area.
Getting there:
From CA 1 in El Granada (San Mateo County, north of Half Moon Bay), turn east at a traffic light onto Alhambra. Drive on Alhambra about 0.3 mile, then bear left onto The Alameda. Drive about 0.5 mile, then turn left onto Santa Maria. Drive about 0.2 mile, then turn right onto Columbus, and make an immediate left turn into the parking area.
