Choose from two Henry W. Coe State Park trailheads and hikes
Hike One: 4.7 mile loop through the headquarters area
This is one of Coe's shortest hikes, but it provides an excellent introduction
to the park, touring canyons, oak savanna, and a high meadow crowned with towering
ponderosa pines.
High points:
Very beautiful scenery.
Low points:
Some steep trails. Hot in summer.
Hike Two: 7.2 mile out and back through the Hunting Hollow section
Starting from a trailhead in the southwest part of the park, this mellow hike
is one of the easiest Coe treks.
High points: Very good wildflower displays in spring.
Low points: Expect water crossings in winter and early spring.
